Northridge Clean Up – Thursday October 6, 2011

October 1st, 2011

NWNC Operation Clean Sweep

Join Northridge West Neighborhood Council every Thursday for their weekly community project and help clean up the streets of Northridge!

On Thursday, Oct. 6, they will once again clean up weeds and trash and do maintenance on the street trees on Reseda Blvd.

Thursday, Oct. 6
8:00 am
Meet up at 9423 Reseda Blvd.
(1/2 block south of Plummer)

At 8:00 am they will review the game plan with free refreshments provided by Northridge West Neighborhood Council. Bring gloves if you have them, sunscreen, a sunhat and appropriate shoes for outdoor work.

The project was launched in the Spring of 2010 by Northridge West Neighborhood Council and neighborhood residents who wanted to get involved in beautifying our public streets and sidewalks. Since then they have removed thousands of bags of debris from the streets and sidewalks and inspired several more groups to launch street clean-ups!

Help us make Northridge shine!
In June 2010, Tom Johnson started Operation Clean Sweep, and since then, volunteers have cleaned many Northridge parkways multiple times. They have filled thousands of bags with debris.  Northridge has never looked so good.Join this amazing campaign, and make new friends that have a common goal.
What can be better than free exercise with guaranteed immediate results? (Beautiful parkways)
Why do you need a gym membership when you have Operation Clean Sweep?

If you are not able to perform this work then you can distribute “Did You Know” letters signed by Councilman Mitch Englander informing adjacent owners they are responsible for parkway maintenance. Contact me to let me know if you will deliver letters. We look forward to meeting you this Saturday.

Check up on updates of Operation Clean Sweep regular Thursday or/& occasional Saturday on NWNC’s website: www.northridgewest.org or Councilman Mitch Englander website www.cd12.org

Please forward this email to friends and neighbors and tell them about Operation Clean Sweep.
